Smooth animations in AE
on Jul 12, 2017 at 2:44:17 am

Hey guys,

I am struggling with creating really smooth animations in AE.
I tried adding a smooth keyframe expression below in the box.
Although, the animation still looks a bit choppy.
Any tutorials or advice you could give?
I have tried the plugin called "Flow" as well, but this has not been much helpful.
Could a framerate play a role here?

Thanks a lot!
Sofya

What's the nature of the animation you're trying to smooth? I mean, how were the keyframes generated?

Hi Dan,

Thank you for your response.
I am working with mostly position and zoom keyframes.
So I would manually set the position and zoom of the graphical element (or image as an example), apply easy ease, maybe adjust the keyframe graph to my liking and then add an expression.
Hope this makes sense ☺

Best,
Sofya
