Problem with an Expression to positionate a hand
on Feb 28, 2017 at 3:18:51 pm

Hello there I'm experiencing a problem. I have two layers (arm and hand)

I've created 3 puppets for the Arm.
R shoulder, R elbow and R hand and then created the bones, controller and the IK with Duik. Now I created another puppet on top of the hand layer in same place with the R hand puppet, bone and controler of the arm

I opened the Position of the Puppet on my hand and connected it to the hand puppet of the arm layer. Resulting with an expression like this one:

thisComp.layer("right arm").effect("Puppet").arap.mesh("Mesh 1").deform("R hand").position

The problem? well now when I move the Controller it moves the arm perfectly and also the hand BUT the hand is like 100 pixels away to the right, not sure what happened, there's a way to change that expression to tell the hand to follow the arm (like now) but with 100 pixels less in the -X direction?

thisComp.layer("right arm").effect("Puppet").arap.mesh("Mesh 1").deform("R hand").position

Maybe this will work:

thisComp.layer("right arm").effect("Puppet").arap.mesh("Mesh 1").deform("R hand").position - [100,0]
