Controlling two of the same precomp instances differently
on Jan 27, 2017 at 7:16:46 pm

I have two copies of the same precomp on my main comp.
The precomp has a text object inside.
I want one instance to display the text "Hello" and the other instance to display "world".
Is this possible? The idea is to control precomps via the main comp.

Right now I can only use expressions in the precomp to reference the main and behave accordingly.
Please help!

Nope.

They have to be individual precomps (duplicated in the project panel). Even then an expression can only reference a "parent" comp by name.
