How to control Sine wave, like starting from higher frequency to low frequency?

I am trying to modify the expression below with Slider Control to simulate sine wave movement so it moves from higher frequency (1) and decay to lower frequency (0.5) but I can't quite get it right.... During the animation, there would be a big bump at the keyframe (0.5) on Slider Control like in the image attached.

Any suggestion would be great, thanks!

veloc = 400;
freq=1;
amp=200;
x = time*veloc;
y= amp*Math.sin(freq*time*2*Math.PI)+ thisComp.height/2;
[x,y]
