Typewriter effect within untypewritten text using Expressions on Source Text
on Nov 28, 2016 at 10:40:26 pm

Hi there,

I'm new on CreativeCow. I found many answers to my questions on this site in the past but this time I didn't, so I decided to join and ask myself.

I have a text which presents like this :

The society ... , represented by ... being the ...

I would like to animate my text as if someone was erasing the dots and filling the blanks (like in the typewriter preset).
But the rest of the text should follow the last character erased or typed (as in every Text edit application).
I could put a keyframe on each frame of the Source Text and change one char each time but this is really long (because I have to go back to my timeline each time as ctrl right doesn't work within a text layer ...) and my text is really really long.
Is it possible to put a slider on the source text to make it smoother and so put two keyframe at each blank or something like that ?

Thank you and sorry for my poor english.
