Hello,
I have an odd problem. I am trying to morph an object in 3D space in after effects.
I was wanting something like the puppet tool but that does not seem to be working in Z space.
Here is a few pictures of the character I am trying to morph. I basically want him to move like a fish.

Any suggestions?
Thanks!

From those screen shots, it appears to me that you need to work in a 3D application. You need to model that brain & eyeballs, then animate a camera around them.

You could do some or all of this in Freeform. It's not going to be as effective as using a 3D application, as Dave suggested, but it may be enough for your purposes.

Todd suggestion is what I would recommend as well. Free Form can do 3d displacement based on displacement maps.
Here's a tutorial that can help:

However if you want more control and better 3d displacement, and if you have the budget you may want to check FreeForm Pro.
Here's a review and a couple tutorials:

And here's an example of a displacement of simple 2d image- the statue:

Awesome, that is exactly what I am looking for!
I was afraid I was going to have to do a full 3D movie.
Unfortunately, I have not made the upgrade from CS4 to CS5 yet and the Free Form plugin is far out my price range ($300, at that price I could just pay for the CS5 upgrade)
Thanks for the feedback and links
