OK. I feel like an idiot.

Is there a way to select multiple vertices in a mask? I know I've done this before, but it seems like every time I mouse down, it selects the image instead of being able to drag and select multiple vertices.

I can do it in a single layer, but I need to work the mask on one layer, while using an image from another layer.

Anybody?

Make sure you have the comp window set to see masks. In the timeline, hit the v key, highlight the layer with the mask, and start lassoing vertices. Need some that you can't get in that rectangular selection box? Ctl-click on 'em.

Make sure you've set a Mask Path keyframe first.

You wont be able to drag-select a mask if the layer is hidden... toogle it on, then set its opacity to 0.
