i've been trying and still continuing to find tutorials for "blowing away effect". i could animate each piece but it would turn out very fake and unnatural, thus i be better off not using it
i will have about 90-100 piece shaped similar to pack of playing cards. now imagine they have been all been laid down on a surface 10 cards in row, very organised and straight (like a grid structure).
the blow effect:
-wind (will be invisible and the) direction will enter from the top and move towards the bottom
-the wind force light to medium strength, so the cards pieces slide rather than spin and blow away like leaves
If you use a particle system like Particular you can apply dynamic effects like wind and turbulance to move the cards however. The trick will be getting them in their initial state. If you can't manuever that, think about two comps. One of the cards that actually just start disappearing, and the other would be the particle system with the "same" cards blowing away.
