IS CASE U ARE CURIOUS ABOUT THE CAPS I WAS RENDERING WITH CAPS ON
TO PREVENT PREVIEW :) MOVING ON!
HI GUYS DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW MAKE AN EDITED ( ONTO A PATH) AND
3D TEXT LAYER MASK EASILY. OR AT LEAST MAKE IT APPEAR 2D JUST FOR
THE SAKE OF MASKING SPECIFIC TEXT .
FOR EXAMPLE WHEN A TEXT LAYER IS 2D OR FLAT IT'S EASY TO APPLY AND
ANIMATE A MASK BUT THE PROBLEM I HAVE IS A '3D' THE TEXT WHICH IS ON A
CIRCULAR PATH WITH THE CHARACTERS STANDING 90 DEGREASE UPRIGHT
ON THAT PATH LINE, WITH THE TEXT LAYER ALSO AT 90 (IN PERSPECTIVE)
NOW I NEED TO MASK PARTS OF THE TEXT MOMENTARILY
AND THEN REVEL IT WHEN I NEED TO.
THE TEXT IS ON A CIRCULAR PATH WHEN WHEN I ANIMATE THE FIRST MARGIN TO MAKE IT MOVE ALONG THE PATH SOME OF THE TEXT WILL OVERLAP THE PART BEHIND IT, MEANING I WANT TO HIDE THE PART WHICH OVERLAPS.
the animator for opacity range selector worked like a beast, just a bit more refining would give me the exact result I'm looking for. i've been using after affect for while but it's taken me long to notice the text animator options -_-
moreover i already precomposed the text animation but i had problems with unwanted text overlapping the text i wanted, so normal masking wouldn't work but tnks for sharing the knowledge
