Has anyone run into a problem when copying and pasting from another program into After Effects? More specifically when I copy from a text document into AE sometimes it just won't paste. I do a lot of foreign videos and have to copy-paste from the translated scripts - so it is extremely annoying having to restart AE every hour or so (this is the only handling I have found).
It isn't just my computer, I have run into it on 2 other computers in our facility. I haven't particularly noticed it on a Mac - but I don't spend much time on Macs these days.

I have noticed that problem before in CS3 but not so far in CS5. Not to say for sure that it doesn't exist in CS5, just that it hasn't happened yet. I think it was when I had Windows XP too so that might have been the culprit. I don't know of a fix but one thing that sometimes helps is to use Notepad as a sort of filter to remove any MS Word or HTML or other formatting on the copied text that may be causing an issue. Just paste the text into Notepad and then copy it again from Notepad and then paste into AE.
I have had this problem in AE CS5 all the time.
I managed to dig online a while ago and found that it is a known bug.
One possible solution that has been suggested is to copy and paste the text into AE's "search help" text box (top right) and then copy it from their into your project. I tried this and it didn't work for me but I would be curious to know if it works for anyone else.
