So I mocked up an animation entirely in After Effects, client approved, great. The thing is, I want to keep my camera moves but incorporate some 3D elements. Does anyone have any thoughts regarding getting camera/solid data INTO C4D from After Effects? I've only ever heard of doing it the other way around.

Is my only option to render it out, put the video on a plane, and match it manually? Any thoughts/tips would be greatly appreciated!

You can bring in camera data, lights, multipass texture renders, and z-depth info into AE from C4D, but not 3d meshes.

Here's a tutorial

and another

and one more

Hope that helps
