When i start up after effects this Application error comes up and says:

sniffer_gpu.exe-Application Error
The instruction at "0x000001b8" referenced memory at "0x000001b8". The memory could not be "read".

After i click OK on that Application Error, after effects opens but shorty after it opens another error comes up and says:

After Effects can't continue: sorry, After Effects has crashed. See for known issues. If you still can't resolve the issue, please contact Adobe Technical Support (2).

I went to the website and called technical support but it didnt help. Can anyone help me?

[Jacob Hedgepath] "Can anyone help me?"

Sure! We'll just gaze into our crystal balls, we'll determine your AE version, your computer, its OS, processors and RAM, we'll see if you have any video capture cards and graphics cards in it and identify them, and then we'll check on the type of footage you've imported into AE.

It may take a while; sadly, I dropped my crystal ball yesterday. Or you could just write back with the information.

As Dave said, we need a lot more information to do any good troubleshooting.
But here's a shot in the dark: Try reinstalling (or updating) your graphics card driver.

This looks like a crash because of OpenGL to me. Disable it. Here's a document for troubleshooting OpenGL issues:
