So, I have recently gotten my first additional internal 1TB hard drive installed in my Mac Pro. I never knew anything about drive configurations and where to keep project files/media/disk cache, but as soon as I started working off my new drive AE began to crash every other time I did a RAM Preview. I started poking my nose around and the more I looked the more I became aware that my system is not set up as it should be. I've only ever had the main boot drive, and have edited and used AE on that with no problems...but what I have read tells me this is a bad idea. So...why do you think Adobe started crashing? How should I organize my work? Someone help a brotha out!

Here is my Hardware Overview if that is needed:
Model Name: Mac Pro
Model Identifier: MacPro3,1
Processor Name: Quad-Core Intel Xeon
Processor Speed: 2.8 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 4
L2 Cache: 12 MB
Memory: 8 GB
Bus Speed: 1.6 GHz
Boot ROM Version: MP31.006C.B05
SMC Version (system): 1.25f4
Serial Number (system): G88330DNXYL
Hardware UUID: C62A855C-8EEF-5EEE-AE43-9A554C5AE454

I don't know about that stuff: the engineers at my station shoo me away when they work on my Mac Pro, and I don't have administrative privileges.

However, I DO know the people on this forum who can help will want to know about your OS version, your AE version, and any other ancillary cards installed in your machine.

Have you updated to AE 10.0.1?
