I'm having trouble properly rendering out the colors I see in AFX to the colors I see in my finished renders. As seen here:

Notice the yellow in the quicktime render looks washed our, faded.

See everything looks great color wise until in AFX. I would like to render out my animations in the ProRes format. I have tried all of the 422 codecs. I have also tried multiple settings that are not working under color management: NONE, HDTV, GAMMA NONE, GAMMA AUTOMATIC, etc….

When I render out in the Animation Codec it looks correct but see I would like to use the less bulky Pro Res codec so I can save hard drive space.

Thanks for the help!

File > Project Settings . Click the Check Box marked "Match Legacy After Effects QuickTime Gamma Adjustments"

Render - and you should be OK.

This is what color management is for.
