Hi All

I'm having a problem that I'm sure is simple. I have a vector based animation and I want to put some nice textures onto my work. What I want is to put different textures (probably using blending modes) onto specific layers without effecting any other layers but the ones I'm intending to modify. I've tried using Track Matte in a new Comp which works, but the effected layers end up with a transparency to them which is not ideal.

Is there a way of doing this that does not involve editing my source vectors?

Thanks

Sam

Sure, it's a piece of cake.

Duplicate the vector layer in question. Put the texture layer between the two vector layers. Now use the upper vector layer as an Alpha Matte for the texture layer. Position the texture layer to taste, and parent BOTH upper layers to the lower vector layer.

Now, when you animate the lower texture layer, the two upper layers will be tied to it.

Mr LaRonde, you've got it!

Thanks so much, I knew there was an easy way to do it.

Thanks a gazillion

Sam
