I have been using AE for few days now and I pretty much learned stuff about motion tracking..Now I made a little clip from a game where im moving towards and put an explosion effect while im running by it using motion tracking which seemed to work out. However, I want the fire appear BEHIND a lamppost WHILE the camera is moving..Is there a way to make the mask follow lamppost while its out of picture or something?

The best way to have a mask follow an object in a scene is to draw the mask on a solid layer, use that layer as a track matte, and use motion tracking to make the solid layer follow the object.

This is basic rotoscoping technique. See this page for more information.
