I'm currently writing a little export script that writes out the keyframe data from After Effects. I'm having trouble with parented data though. I'd like to write out the final world data for a layer, eg, position, rotation and scale that includes and parenting that's gone on. Currently I'm just getting the local data.

I've looked around and have managed to get the world position out by creating an expression of "toWorld(anchorPoint)" and applying that to the layer when I export. Not sure how I do the same with scale and rotation though. Nor am I sure what happens if there's already an expression on the layer.

Any ideas?

Hello, Scott.
Did you have any success with your exporting?
We are making a game from the after effect movie file. And we want to export somehow data of position, rotation, scale of object from the particular frame. And it would be good to have them as a text at the end.
Can you help us?

Ever get anywhere on this? I haven't found an elegant way to get the world transformation data for a layer from a script.
