I just keyed out some footage and the actor in front of the blue screen is wearing a white shirt. The shirt becomes semi opaque and pixelated/noisy/blocky. What would be a good way to fix this? Thanks guys.

It's tough to give you a straight answer, because there are a few things that affect the quality of the key you can get in a big way:
  • The lighting: if you don't have experience in lighting for chroma key, or you can't take advantage of Mr. Sun when keying, it can hurt you.
  • The camera you're using: if you shoot DV or HDV, your camera tosses away valuable color information as it records.
  • The keyer: if you don't use a good keyer, it'll bite you in the end
For now, all I can recommend is to do a multi-layer key. Pull your key, and don't worry about the shirt. Then duplicate the layer, animate a garbage matte around the shirt, and key for the shirt.
