Hi, im trying to achieve a similar effect/background to the video below:

I understand that the video contain chromatic aberration on the typography but how can I achieve a similar background to the video, with the same boxed sort of effect and similar colour scheme, thanks.

Here's an easy way to do it:
  • Add a video layer to a comp. Duplicate it twice.
  • Using the Shift Channels effect, make each layer a different color channel: red, blue and green.
  • Enable the Add blend mode for each layer to make a properly-colored image again.
  • Move the individual layers a few pixels on the x and y axes to taste.

You can also play with blurring individual layers, using more than one color-channel layer with a different blend mode... all sorts of things.
