Hi,

I'm trying to create a sequenced text animation with the text animator in AE. The idea is that all lines animate in an sequential order. Starting with the top line and ending with the bottom line. The lines rotate back and forth a few times. Here's an example.
The problem is that the animation starts per line, but all lines end at the same time. How can I make them start after each other and end after each other?

Thanks a lot in advance!

[Stef Prein] "The problem is that the animation starts per line, but all lines end at the same time. How can I make them start after each other and end after each other? "

Apply the effect to separate lines of text?

Sorry, I can't see anything in your link.

Delve deep into the world of AE's text animators. (Check the link at the bottom of the page I linked for some really cool stuff.)

That looks like animating a lot of 3D text layers using expressions.

The anchor points on each text layer -- one for each line of text -- was moved to the top of the text. The back-and-forth rotation that makes each line of text look like a hanging sign was done using an expression.

Depending on how elaborate you want the expression to be, you could build a layer-by-layer time delay into it.

Thanks a lot for your replies! I think I know enough for now. I hoped there would be an "easy" solution in text animation, but I guess there isn't any. Well, I'll just start animating like crazy then ;-)
