The first part of this tutorial has a background with layers: BG, Smudge, CC, Particle, etc.I can't really figure out how to make this happen. Mostly I'm trying to decipher the particles and their movement/blurring in 3D space as the camera moves/rotates from one target to the next. I figure the background and gradient layers are 2D since they stay in frame, but I can't seem to find a particle generator to mimic what's going on here. (This is just one of those "how did he do that" situations.) Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!
I believe he goes through the particle settings in detail in at least one of the tutorials. I remember doing it, and what I remember is that it was important to set the size of the emitter pretty large on all axes. It also seemed like a good idea to set the speed of the particles very slow (I don't remember a number setting), so that even when the camera parked, there was a slight drifting movement going on. That's all I remember, but I do remember that there was a detailed explanation of the particle settings in the tutorial - but as with everything, when you adapt the concept for your own needs, it's playtime!
