We just upgraded our graphics computer to Mac OS 10.5.8 and QT 7.6.6 (system was 10.5.5 with QT 7.6). Now any QT .mov files (new or already existing) created using the animation codec appear pixelated (aliased, wrong resolution) when imported into AE (v9.0.2). I tried back revving QT to 7.6 (which we were running before the upgrade) but still have the same problem. The movie looks fine in the QT viewer. Also other codecs are fine - ProRes and AVI. Screen shots of the same file in the QT view and imported into AE are attached. The animation codec seems to be the common denominator. Any thoughts?

I see that among your effects is a category called "AJA Effects". I'd be willing to bet that you also have the latest software upgrades for your AJA card, and one of them may be the culprit. I've read threads on the problem in recent days.

You could do a search in this forum for the term AJA and see what turns up.

And here's something you should also know about, involving both ProRes and AJA:

Thanks Dave! Good catch on the AJA Quicktime. Running the AJA Adobe Plug-In uninstaller did the trick!
