sharp mask edges

hi folks,

really hope you can help my.
i'm trying to mask a video in ae cs4.
but the thing is the edges of the mask never come realy sharp n crisp.
it's seems like it's always has a soft mask border of about 1 px.
can anyone give me a hint what i'm doing wrong?

You probably made the mask when you magnified the window -- 200, 400, 800% or something. AE can do subpixel rendering to preserve smoothness. Your mask vertices and mask path are probably cutting through pixels rather than between pixels, giving it a feathered look.
