I'm a bit rusty with AFX. I'm trying to do a quick roto or sky mask for some handheld footage - swat the sky out for some storm clouds. The sky's quite bright, cloudy with small amounts of definition. I'm trying to cut out a building with a complex shape. Any quick way of masking the sky without a Frame By frame solution?

I've tried Mocha but its just far to shakey to track.

Could you create a luma matte based on the sky?

Yeah - i've been trying that, i've been playing with the Luma keys but its pullingout the information in the buildings even after a heavy grade!

Really need somthing like the Roto Brush in CS5 - that would be ideal!

Yup. Now we wait. Here's another hurdle I bet you'll have to overcome: if there are dark objects against this sky that needs replacement, you may also have the issue of light wrap to contend with.

You can roto your little heart out and get every stinkin' edge absolutely dead-solid perfect, but you'll still have to deal with the unnaturally-bright edges of dark objects against the darker replacement sky.
