I have from my client 720 footage that is shown in AE as 59.94fps. When I look at the footage and advance through it, i see each frame doubled but every second frame repeats twice. For example, 11,222,33,444,55,666 is how I see each frame. Can someone please help me with why this is? I understand that each should repeat once.

Also, how does one render out of 3dsMax for 59.94 comps in AE?

Thanks in advance!

The footage was shot at 24p, and the 3:2 pulldown wasn't removed.

Depending on precisely what you're doing -- e.g. color grading -- you may not have to remove it. Building motion graphics whose motion has to be spot-on the the motion of the footage? You have to do something about it.

Here's a possible workaround: What happens if you put the footage into a 23.976 comp? Does the motion look okay on a RAM Preview?

It would also be good to know what you're expected to deliver.
