How to import an image PSD as a composition in after CS3 or CS4, So that it does not cut the layers that are larger than the canvas??
I'm used to the options in After Effects 7 where in "import kind" I choose "composition" and "footage dimensions" I choose "layer size".
But changed!

I don't know if this is the only way to do what you want, but it is certainly the most direct and foolproof way to do it:

Change the canvas size of your Photoshop document to include the larger layers.

from "Import a still-image sequence as a composition":

"Composition - Cropped Layers
Import the layers with their original dimensions.

Note: The name of this option can be confusing, since the original layer size may in fact be greater than the size of the composition frame."
