For a documentary on a 19th cent. historical figure, I would like to show the character looking through stereoscoptic glasses and show the image as it would appear through the glasses. Suggestions? Thank you.

Are you willing to provide the viewing audience with 3D glasses to be used throughout the entire program?

No, we can't use actual glasses. I am not looking to create an actual 3-D image, but something that would give the impression(very fleeting) of the image as seen through the glasses.

The look as in 3d?
If so, you would need to cut the objects out and do a "The Kid Stays In The Picture" effect (google it)
If you want it to have that eye-crossing looking at it without glasses look, use the 3d Glasses effect on your footage.
