Camera will not accept effects

I was attempting to put a simple wiggle on my camera in AE, and noticed that not only was nothing happening, the effect wasn't showing up at all.

In fact, if I highlight the camera, the entire effects window greys out.

I have even tried parenting the camera to a null object with a wiggle with no luck.

I only have one layer in the project (A comp layer) besides the camera, and it is in 3d.

Is there a setting that could be causing this? My machine was used by another producer before me, and I have noticed he had some very wacky settings in it.

So, if this sounds familiar, any help would be great!

The term, "wiggle" has a definite connotation in AE. It's associated with an expression, and not an effect. So what are you really talking about?

I am talking about the wiggle behavior expression. I just called it an effect out of habit.

But right now my main concern is, what could be preventing a wiggle expression from working on a camera?

I had tried dragging it over. I have tried manually typing it (alt-clikcing the position key and typing in the wiggle).

So far, nothing works.

Are you looking at the Active Camera in the comp?

Yeah, I have tried active camera, camera 1, all the basics.

It seems like a setting has been changed somewhere, and I just cannot figure out what.

I have turned auto orient on and off, I have tried adjustment and null layers, but so far no luck.
