Hello I have a big project:
Lots of assets - I also used extensive footage from Premiere Pro and used the amazing dynamic link.

I'm using the Render queue - Lossless preset.
So I don't think its a problem with conversion codecs etc...
some composiitons\parts of the project I can export - but some I can't - I think it might have something to do with muti-cores\RAM issues.

what can I do?
I need to export it back to premiere to do the Music & effects part.
I tried sending a comp to Premiere but the Apple will just kept on turning endlessly.

Help me please!

New Rig (Leopard 10.5.7):
Final Cut Studio 3
CPU: Core i7 920
RAM: 12gig
HDD: 6 X 1 TB HDDs: 4 HDDs in RAID-5 and 2 HDDs for System.

Do you get any error message, or does it just crash?

I had a similar problem a few weeks ago. The problem turned out to be one of my internal hard drives. If you have TechTool or a similar disk utility, check the SMART status of your drives. In my case one of the drives passed the test, but 3 of the drive parameters were in the yellow-indicating that the drive could fail soon. As soon as I removed that drive from the system the spinning beachball of death disappeared.

The question appears on at least one other AE forum.

I don't see enough information in the OP to help you much but my alarms always go off when folks use "export" from AE instead of "render." When using CS4 with Premiere, the route to and from AE is effectively and efficiently accomplished with links, not new media. Do you have enough experience with CS4 to know how the applications work together?
