Pass timecodes through in DPX renders

I have DPX files from an Arri Scanner that has timecode embedded in it. I am doing some work on the files in AE. When I render out to DPX, new timecode is written (starting at zero). It's making a conform pretty annoying. Anyway to keep or pass along the original timecode?

I've never had to use this, but it might work:

An AE comp does NOT have to start with 00:00:00:00. It can start with any value you choose to type in, and I THINK -- not sure, mind you -- that any time code recorded starts with that value. I'm not sure where you set it: Comp Settings? Project settings?

I guess you could do that. The issue is, the amount of time it would take me to go into FCP and read the timecode off the DPX stacks and then manually enter that into each new Composition, I can just reconform manually :)
