NTSC preset in Illustrator differs from After Effects
on Oct 13, 2009 at 12:51:36 am

Hello everybody,

I am creating some assets in Illustrator CS4 to be imported into After Effects and I noticed that when I select the NTSC DV preset I get a canvas of 654 x 480 px rather than the usual 720 x 480. However the other presets seem to be fine.

Does anyone know why is this?

Thanks for your help!

D.

It sounds like you're using the new square-pixel preset. In AE9, Adobe changed its traditional pixel aspect ratios in response to some hardware manufacturers' requests. You can look for the explanation in AE Help if you'd like.
