control over wiggle expression?

Hey guys, just wandering what the degree of control you have over the wiggle expression? For example I've applied it to the rotation property at the base of a vectored tree to make it look like it's swaying slightly in the wind. However I want this to stop after a certain period of time. Is it possible to make the wiggle control "die down" after a set time? I don't want to mimic the wiggle expression by hand by placing hundreds of keyframes.

Thanks in advance, Eugene

***EDIT - sorry, nevermind. I see that there have been many posts on this topic already. Thanks CC

perhaps a simple slider attached to the wiggle expression then just keyframe the slider on and off.
