I saw this cool lighting and color effect on you tube and I was wondering if anyone could help explain how to create something similar to this, or point me in the right direction.

I'm pretty sure you could get that effect by using the "tint" or "Exposure" effect. Maybe even just creating a new solid with that orangeish color and then keyframing the opacity and exposure.

Shouldn't be too hard though, just start flipping switches I always say. Haha, hope that helps.

Look up film burns. These are the kind of colored blowouts you are seeing... they can be created from scratch or there are lots of stock clips of them that you can easily drop in.

Of course, it doesn't hurt that they have beautifully shot footage to begin with, but you can use the effect on anything :)
