I'm just about to start an animation using Adobe Photoshop and After Effects, and it's going to be used as a music video, so it will be on television as well as on the internet. I'm just writing to see if anyone can help me with the setup, as I'm a little confused as to what settings to use.

We want to create the animation in PAL D1/DV wide screen and I've been told that for the internet you should select wide screen square pixel. But the animation needs to be used on both television and internet, and I'm just getting a little confused.

Could anyone suggest what settings to use?

That's tough to say. Here's just one example: does the PAL broadcaster who will run this widescreen stuff accept standard-definition widescreen video, or does it need to be in 4x3 and letterboxed?

You have to find out the necessary delivery specifications before we can help you. Unfortunately, there are very few set rules for such things, even though you might think otherwise.
