flying slime effect

Hi All,
OK, here's a weird one. The client wants me to create a slomo sequence where it appears that slime (actually dog slobber) is flying through the air. Anybody have a notion of what I can use from AE generator effects (fractal noise, etc,) or what I can photograph and then animate (liquify effect?) over time.
Really appreciate your input.
Thanks and best,
Paul Colin,

Mr. Mercury could potentially be tweaked to look like slime/slobber. But I don't know that you could get that sticky quality that dog saliva has. Why not just get a St. Bernard out in the summer and run for a few steps? It doesn't take much to get buckets of the stuff.

Thanks Mike,
This just might work with some image tweaking.
I did indeed try to to use dog slobber, but somehow it just doesn't have the right clarity or definition to read, especially in flight.
Again thanks and best,
Paul

It has to be lit right to be seen well. A nice strong backlight tends to work well.
You could try making your own using some sort of gelatin/thickening substance. If nothing else, you'll have fun playing with slime.

Yeah...
There are some nice "how tos" on line using poly vinyl alcohol and borax (clear slime) or elmers glue and borax (white slime)..
I'll probably investigate these as well.
Thanks again!

also try adding turbulent displace to the mix (animating the offset)

Thanks for the tip!
The effect is getting there.
