Sorry I've had a good search with no luck (probably because I didn't use search properly) however if anyone can help with this error please (I'm a little wary of messing with the memory) Regards Roger

Please add more data.
What is the size of the file?
Have you tried removing the "continuous rasterize" check box and see if that works? (same place as "collapse transformation")
Have you tried rescaling the original vector image, or just save it again?

Thanks Elad, there are 3 small eps (200k) files but they are duplicated a hundred times, I've managed to complete the project now by fiddling with the memory settings, the fact that I have only 4gb doesn't help but when I searched I didn't come across any reference to this error message and became intrigued ... thanks for taking the time Roger

Sorry to bring back an old thread. But, what settings did you tweak?

AE gives me this error when I try to render a comp that contains a large illustrator file (610kb) that's continually rasterized. I know this is causing the problem, but I want to know if there's a way to work around it before I rework my entire design. The illustrator file is all text. Would it work better if I converted it to paths? Or exported it as a PDF?

I'm running an early 08 mac pro octo core with 6gb of RAM and AE CS4.

Thanks!
