I know AE is not the ideal application to fix audio, but where I work at, it is all I have since I mainly work with print and web media. I recorded a voiceover using a Windows application (don't laugh) and the audio sounded like it was recorded through a telephone. I know that there is just so much I can do to enhance that, but I was hoping for suggestions on how to make that better through AE 6.5 Pro. Any advice will be much appreciated.
Nope, no way. What I have learned thru my own experiences in doing the voiceovers for my tutorials is that you need a good equalizer and a noise gate and neither of what little AE has to offer in ways of audio tools will do it for you. Do a search, there are many free wave editors around which will work better than anything you could hope to accomplish in AE. Also consider e.g. the 30 day trial of Audition.
