Exporting Animated Gif becomes distorted/noisy

Hi everyone,

I've put together a very simple animation on After effects and when exporting in H.264 it comes out fine:

But then when exporting in Animated gif (desired format) there is noise/distortion on the left hand side and top right corner:

Ive been rendering through Media encoder, and it does not show up distorted when choosing format etc.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Any help would be amazing.

Thanks,
Abi

The GIF format relies on massive palette reduction (plus additional optional lossy compression), so you may never be able to get this perfectly pristine.

I think that GifGun generally does a better job than Media Encoder for producing animated GIFs:

Hi Walter,

Thanks so much for this.

Managed to negotiate with the client and reduce the size/length, and have got it to a better quality.

Thanks for the tip on GifGun!
