Rotate the motion of a null with a controller layer
on Dec 7, 2019 at 6:34:27 pm

Hello everyone! I am trying to achieve control that allows me to adjust the direction of a transition that I am making. I set up most things, I just want to find a way to rotate the entire movement of my animation.

I have a basic position movement controlled by a layer called "motion"
I thought to parent the "motion" layer to another null called "direction" to rotate the direction of the movement, but this broke my entire animation.

I will post some images of my project

Someone, please help me to find a way to achieve what I'm explaining. I would appreciate it a lot.

I’m guessing that you’re driving g the other layers using expressions as they don’t appear to be parented to your null.

Have you tried parenting all the layers to a direction null and rotating that? Not just the motion layer?

Another option would be to increase the size of the comp so that it’s square, then use this as a precomp, and that way you can drop it in multiple times to your timeline and rotate the precomp
