How to match color to a color that is dynamically changing in After Effects?
on Oct 17, 2019 at 11:12:50 pm

Hello,

I have a fire effect (saber from VC). I am trying to tint the surrounding area to match the color of the burn/flicker effect? Is there a way to select a point on the screen to continuously match/change the color of my tinted surrounding area?

Thanks

Parent the color of whatever effect you're using to tint the area to the color of the blade in Saber. That will make sure the color always matches, even if you're changing the color of the blade.

Unfortunately that doesn’t work. The saber color in the settings is just one color. It must have have certain algorithms that drive the color changes. I tried that initially. Thanks though.
