How to make strokes grow with time?

Hey guys,

Trying to figure out how to do this effect where strokes are being generated from the matte

It starts at 0:06 seconds mark.

As of now I am just multiplying the matte but animating the scale will just the make project heavier. I am sorry if this is a dumb question.

You could get really close to that by blurring your matte, using Colorama on it (without interpolating between the knots), and animating the input or output cycle.

Alright. I sort of did manually for now. Got the matte, coloured it and then keyframed the scale. Had to duplicate after that.

You could probably do this with radiowaves...two of them overlapping..just gotta draw a rough mask and you might want to make comp a little bigger so there is more room to grow
