Video Result is not moving smoothly
on Jan 6, 2018 at 2:08:55 pm

Hello,

I have created an animated text video with music. After rendering it with the best setting. The result does not show the animation smoothly. The video moving slower than normally and sometimes with a few breaks for each second. I wonder why?

Only for the result of my after effect video. Other videos animates smoothly except for the video that I created. I wonder what's wrong with it?

Thanks in advance.

read this:

seems you are a beginner in this software. this is not a software you can intuitively go about and understand how it works, for training start here: https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/after-effects/tutorials.html

I already sucessfully render the video, except that all the video are in MP4 format. Is that the best format? Or is there anyway I can change it into a small *.AVI file ? Since the first AVI render are huge. Like 4 GB. That's too much.

I already learn some basic stuff from YouTube. Unfortunately youtube cannot answer all my questions - that's why I need this forum.

Thank's for the link. I usually just search any animation that I would like to see in youtube.

The format is based off of what you want your end result to be, and how you may or may not continue working with the file once it is rendered.

Some formats will result in similar outcomes. You can use AVI or MP4 for most renders which should be fine, depending on the rest of your render settings. Likewise you can use Quicktime if you are working with a Mac, or prefer using the QT software.

In the Render Settings, you also have Format Options, which based off the format you choose, gives you other settings to work with.

If you use Quicktime, you will see some Format Options which are fairly useful, such as codecs that will provide a better look and feel.
I would suggest you try three separate formats to render with and play with the settings. Honestly most of the time, I will have multiple files rendered that I work from, so I can compare and see which works better for me.

Also, if your video is slow or choppy, you may need to check your framerate in the actual compositions. After Effects for beginners takes a lot of testing to become familiar with. As Roei mentioned, you may want to start with some decent Ae beginner tutorials to get your feet wet. Good luck.

for playback purposes, mp4 is your best bet. all the answers to your questions are in the first link.

most probably youtube will even makes things much more confusing when starting out. always check if the author really knows what he's talking about. the proper place to start is the tutorial page I gave you. from there you could advance to decent tutorial authors. creative cow has an After Effects series, other vendors too. Lynda is the best place to start in my opinion.
