3D Light generated Shadows Rotating with layers

I'm trying to do a simple animation with a precomped logo spinning on its Y axis. I wanted a subtle shadow on the wall behind it. The point light is set just in front of my camera with the wall behind the logo precomp. The shadow looks great till I start spinning the logo, at which point it rotates with the precomp. It is driving me nuts. I've tried using a spot light which generates the same issue. Strangely when I use a parallel light updates correctly but doesn't have the look I'm going for.

I've tried both Classic and Cinema renderers. I know it has to be something stupid I've overlooked, but I've been trying to figure this out for a day now and could really use some help.

Can you share a few screenshots or the project file?

At first read, it sounds like the shadow should be rotating with the precomp, so it would be very helpful to see what you see.
