Please take a quick look at this image:

I want to animate the number counting up and bar filling up at the same time. I've figured out to count the number but how can I fill the colour so it appears as though its filling in at the same time?

Is there a simple way to do this?

Is this thing to be filled up going to be a geometic shape, or just a plain-ol' bar? There are differences in technique, and if the geometric shape is to be a circle, it gets pretty easy.

The pic isn't loading for me, but I would a shape layer stroke with trim paths usually does the trick. Duplicate the empty bar to create an alpha matte so the stroke fits in nicely.
