Weird image echoing in quicktim

Hello,

My employer gave me a quicktime but it has a strange image echoing effect, I'm not sure if it's a frame rate issue, or what the proper terminology for this video aberration is.

Basically the movement isn't smooth like a normal video, it's like it's displaying more than one frame at a time or something.

Any ides what this might be, or how to correct it?

Without seeing it, it's impossible to know.

Hi Dave,

Thank you for responding. I figured as much, so I uploaded the file to Filedropper.

Although I don't see strange stuff, you might. It looks like a guy on camera in a red shirt shot at 29.97 who introduces various film frame-rate clips.

MAYBE that's what's bugging people. two different frame rates. Maybe it's something else... meaning the video clips's at 29.97 fps and it contains 23.976 fps footage with 3:2 pulldown. If so, it'll only work on a tv monitor. not on the web. The web will show interlacing.

There's a way it WON'T show interlacing: if the frame rate of the whole clip is 59.94 fps. Pray for that. And it's too complicated to explain why both 29.97 and 23.976 work well inside a frame rate of 59.94. No time for a treatise right now.
