Hello everyone,

I'm not sure if this is the right section I should post this in, but I was wondering if any of you could help me out.
It's difficult for me to explain what I mean exactly since I can't come up with examples.

You know sometimes in cartoons or other animations the texture of an object seems like it's 'pinned' to the background.
The object moves over the canvas of the texture, but the texture doesn't follow the object.
I was wondering if anyone has an idea of how I could do this? Maybe something with masks?

If I'm understanding you correctly, you want to use a track matte.
