Importing AAF from Avid

Hi guys,

I can't figure it out how to import an AAF file from Avid and to have After Effects link to the Red raw files instead of the MXF files.
I feel like I've tried all options without success. It always opens all the mxf files. If I disconnect the hard drive with the mxf files, it just creates empty Mov files.
Been looking at workflow but none explain that particular case of linking to the red raw footage.
Anyone knows how to do so?

I'm using Avid 8.0 and AE 2017 14.0.1.5

Sorry, you're stuck. It's the MXF files or nothing. That's how Avid does it. If you want Red Raw, try cutting in Premiere Pro.

You see, when you Consolidate or Transcode or Import in Avid, it creates and uses MXF files. It doesn't use the original media. The original media is only on your original recording media.

I probably should have included that info to begin with. Sorry about that. So don't get rid of that original recording media!
