Hi there, can anyone guide me as how to make the cloth pulling effect in this link at 3.50 minute.

Much appreciated.

I'd make the matte as a practical effect -- a white cloth hanging in front of a green or black background. Then you don't have to futz with the physics of the cloth dropping.

Hi there, but how exactly should I execute the effect ? Which matte do you meant because when I search in the list of effects there are few of them. I have google for quite a long time but still can't find something similar in the video shown.

Hmmmm..... I think you need to spend a LOT of quality time here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/tutorials.html

If learning to use an NLE like FCPX, Premiere Pro, Vegas or Avid is like learning to drive a car...
....learning to use AE is like learning to fly a combat fighter jet.

You can't learn just the cool stuff you want to do right away -- you'll fail. You have to learn the basics first.

I appreciate for all the inputs. However, by looking at the way the fabric falls down from top to bottom and crumble up/disappear, if I were to use the track matte, which mean I have to draw a lot of shapes and key frame it to simulate the falling fabric? If that is the case, my fps is set to 30 which means I need to make 30 shapes for each frame to simulate the falling fabric effect ?

Dude -- forget about the cool stuff you want to do RIGHT NOW. You aren't ready for it yet. You don't have a clue what you're doing.

We can't tell you what to do because you don't know the language. You don't know the arcane AE lingo. Hell, you don't even know what the term "matte" actually means, and that's what you need to make!

Do the tutorials linked above. Learn the basics. You need 'em... desperately.

Blow 'em off at your peril.
