Hi,

In my project, I have 2 wheels at the same deep that are rotating together. When the camera rotate around the wheels, it seems that the wheels are moving but I didn't give them any movement.

VIDEO Exemple :

I would like them to simply stay at their places and continu to rotate

Is there someone to help me ?

Thanx !

Gaëtan

This must be video footage. Use Time Remapping to freeze the motion.

In fact, I assigned only one movement to the wheels, the rotation. Then, when the camera is moving, it separate the wheels, but I didn't make any movement like this, they should be still rotating together, only the angle view should be different.

I hope I made myself more clear, sorry for my bad english

It looks like your gears are not positioned correctly in 3D space. They appear to they interlock from the original perspective of the camera, but they are actually offset in space. When the camera moves from its original position, we see that they are not positioned together and the change in perspective as the camera moves looks to you like motion.

To correctly position objects in 3D space, you must view the scene from multiple cameras, not just from the scene's camera. Try using at least two of the the orthographic views (Front, Left, Top, Back, Right, or Bottom) to confirm the placement of your objects.

Thank you for your advice.

The problem was that I was rotating the layers instead of the object. Now I rotate the wheels in particule replicator (element 3d) and some of the problem dessapear.

But, I'm still missing something.

The 2 wheels are in the same line, i checked with a second camera at the top of the composition.
When the camera is rotating around the wheels, the wheel are not in the same line anymore, it's moving with the camera. Plus, if the camera is moving forward the wheels are touching each other and if the camera is going backward, the wheels get separated...

Here is the new exemple : :

Thank you agin for your comment and help !

[Gaëtan Gaëtan] "The 2 wheels are in the same line, i checked with a second camera at the top of the composition. "

You need to check with another orthographic camera -- maybe a front or a right. They are still misaligned in one axis.
