I have used a function before in after effects which when you had an effect applied like: fractal noise it would open a window with like 9 examples of the effect it would randomise the settings of fractal noise to give different results. Then when you click on one of the examples you can randomise the settings so the 9 new ones looks like the selected one but again with random settings.

I hope someone could tell me how i could do this because i can't seem to find the video that explains this function.

As far as i can remember this function cam standard with after effects cc.

Sorry for my bad English.

That feature was called Brainstorm. It no longer exists in Ae CC 2015.
